Thankyou for looking for us. It is taking us so long to get this web-site up and running!
We live, work and trade from a Narrow Boat and our constant problem is finding a phone signal. We never have broadband and can take long walks along the tow-path waiting for things to download.
We will be working away at this so if you can be patient with us we will be more interesting every time you come to visit.
We both make crafts on board, miniatures, woodturning, knitting, quilting, spinning and fiddling with anything that comes to hand.
We sell craft materials and fair trade crafts from the boat and butty. The poor butty looks very dejected over the winter and it will be nice to take off the covers for a spring clean at Easter.
We have been back to the market at Whitchurch and it has been lovely catching up with old friends and making some new ones.
We were sorry we could not continue at the market at Ellesmere. We have discovered the Library at Ellesmere however and that is where I am updating this web-site. We have managed to suss out the shopping cart so just need nice weather to photo everything.
We had a funny year last year, After a shaky start to the year I fell off the boat which led to visit to old Dentist in Corwen (she is lovely and very very very kind!) so dropped in to see old friends Heather and Margaret, and the end result was that andy and I got married at the end of November. Heather and Margaret took the service betwen them in the church and we had a small do in the medieval Almshouses behind the church. It was so lovely.
Thankyou to Heather and Margaret x
We got some lovely food from new friend,Lynne, on Whitchurch Market. Everything is freshly baked, tarts, quiches, pies, scones, diabetic and gluten free. She fills orders and you can contact her on
lynne.scurry@tesco.net. We think the link will work.
We had a shock after the wedding when we found out that the council had taken possession of the Storage unit where we had post delivered and belongings stored. The company had gone into administration and we got our things out very quickly. We hope everyone else was as lucky as we were.
So that is us, liz & andy, and we promise to try to give you something new to look at every week, if only photos of some of the truly beautiful countryside we pass through.
Nearly forgot Ozzie! He is our very demanding ginger and white cat. We spend a lot of time waiting for him and at the moment stopping him helping andy with every move he makes. Boredom with weather making him very helpful!
